Creating Your Premium Offer: The Basics
Its time for #𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲𝐓𝐞𝐚 ☕️ y’all !
Welcome!
This is for my Christian Service-Based business providers - that’s my: coaches, consultants, done-for-you providers, mentors, leaders, those in ministry, etc.
You may hear me yelling from the roof tops, “premium offer this” and “premium offer that”, but you may not even have a good enough understanding how to even create your own premium offer!
First of all, what is a premium offer?
A premium offer is a high-value service or product that offers it’s buyers a high-value. A premium offer costs $997.00 plus and, most importantly, provides its customers / clients with an extraordinary amount of value and a step-by-step path to the solution they are looking for to solve their problem.
Premium offers can be coaching programs, courses, masterclasses, accelerators, trainings, curriculums, done-for-you-services and the list goes on.
In my experience, people who purchase services or products at higher prices are typically much more invested in them and more likely to have higher levels of success with those services or products.
That’s one of the main reasons why high-ticket items are great for businesses.
For example, in the past, I’ve purchased one-figure, two-figure, and even three-figure services and either did not finish them or did not receive the complete step-by-step solution I was buying into - I’ve gotten the the same story from others as well.
ps. a premium offer can also be known as “high-ticket”.
Now that you know what a premium service is and the value it brings to businesses and the like, here are Six (6) Quick Steps To Create Your Premium Offer so that you can start the journey to increasing yourself and your business to the next level of impact & consistent four-figure plus months!
Lets Get Started:
Commit to actually creating your offer. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫. To commit is to carry out. You commit to getting your hair done every two weeks. You commit to getting that fill-in or manicure. Where is your commitment and urgency for what God has called you too? You need to commit to completing the process. You need to commit to the good and the bad. You need to commit to your impact-driven goals and dreams.
Now ask yourself these questions: Are you creating a course? A coaching program? done-for-you services? Pick the type of offer and commit to that type.
𝘗𝘙𝘖 𝘛𝘐𝘗: 𝘋𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘱𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴.
2. Decide on your offer’s topic. 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬 𝐛𝐞? What topic in your community needs immediate attention and a solution? What 𝘰𝘯𝘦 problem will you solve?
Think about this: What immediate problem does your audience (or those that continuously come to you for help) need solved right now? And how can/will you solve that problem?
Remember: You can always create other offers, but for now, we want to focus on the one topic that has one solution.
3. Validate your idea. 𝐃𝐨𝐞𝐬 𝐘𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤? The way to find this out is to put it to the test. Of course, you've gone through this process yourself / you've experienced the solution solving the problem (that's how you made it out, right?). But, have you tested it on other people? If yes, did they get the same results or better? If no, will they get the same results or better?
Start getting hands on, take action and putting your strategy and solution to the problem to the test!
4. 𝐃𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐰 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐚𝐠𝐞, 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫 & 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫. Whats included? What platform / systems will be used? How will you price your offer?
Will you include just an ebook or will your premium offer include coaching/consulting sessions and an ebook?
Will you offer different types of packages or tiers?
Is the current price of your offer (even if you don’t have one yet, the price you’ve been thinking of), is this conducive to your monthly revenue goals? How many clients will you need to work with per month to make sure your bills are paid, food is on the table and you can start adding to your savings account?
Don’t overlook the fact that the way you package your offer will determine the price as well.
For Example: Leah offers a 3 week Intensive Accelerator Program (IAP). Her package comes with 3 modules (1 per week), 6 private coaching calls (2 per week at 1 hour each) and 1 workbook (that has content for each week). It is priced at $497.
Leah gets one client enrolled, then the second client, then the next 4 clients enrolled and… that’s 6 clients (yay!!!) for her 3 week program. She was loving the paid in full stripe notifications! …. but then she has quickly realized that she has scheduled herself pretty thin.
6 clients X 12 coaching call hours = 72 hours worked in 1 week
72 hours per week X 3 weeks = 216 hours worked in 3 weeks
6 clients X $497 per client = $2,982
$2,982 ÷ 216 hours worked = $13.80555 → $13.81 per hour
With that math, she did an amazing job enrolling clients, but…
she completely lowballed herself and made just above minimum wage per hour (and in some states below their minimum wage 👀),
she worked 32 hours OVER the regular 9-5 work week,
she has not been compensated for the time, energy and effort she put in to create and market this life-changing, transformational offer,
and she provided her client with an amazing result, BUT completely poured out and burnt herself out in the process.
The problem was not her offer. It most definitely gives what it’s supposed to have gave.
The problem is the package timeline and price.
What would you do differently than Leah?
I know if I were her, I’d extend the accelerator to 6 weeks to give myself breathing room and still give the client the same amount of 1:1 time with me and I’d price it at least four-figures ($997+) so that I could feel good knowing that I provide an amazing result, but my house, home and sanity is also taken care of.
𝘗𝘙𝘖 𝘛𝘐𝘗: 𝘗𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘱𝘢𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 (𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯 𝘳𝘶𝘣𝘪𝘦𝘴 - 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘣𝘴 𝟹𝟷:𝟷𝟶), 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘱𝘢𝘺 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦.
5. Decide on systems and flow of operations. 𝗪𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐥𝐢𝐤𝐞 in the eyes of your new clients? How will you keep track of their information and progress? What will they experience as they onboard/offboard? Do you have contracts in place? Will there be a welcome email? Weekly/reminder emails, etc? How will they schedule time with you? How will you meet with them?
These are all QTNA (questions that need answers) as soon as possible.
Why?
First a foremost, we cannot charge premium prices looking like amateur business owners.
And, secondly, we are not treating kingdom-assignments, God’s blueprints and impact-driven ideas to be run as if they are side-hustles or a last thought.
These are the people you’re called to, to change and transform their lives with your knowledge and experience and so we need to treat them and serve them as such.
I like things to be as simple as possible, for me and my clients, especially as a solopreneur. I use a system where my academy, membership, and all client information is located in one central place. I even use the same system to collect payments.
Of course there are SO many options, but here are some I’ve used & enjoyed over the years:
Membervault.co (has a free plan to start with)
Mailchimp.com (has a free plan - for mostly email)
Convertkit.com (has a free plan - for mostly email)
Google Classrooms (free with google account)
Simplero.com (starting at $99/m)
Dubsado.com (starting at $35/m)
Honeybook.com (starting at $9/m)
Teachable.com (starting at $39/m)
Thinkific.com (starting at $49/m)
6. Create your offer’s content. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭! Now that you know the topic and how you'll deliver, you've got to create the content that needs to be delivered!
This can be fun or this can be difficult. The outcome will be based upon how you choose to move about the plane.
This is not the time for the spirit of paralysis or the spirit of procrastination to rear its ugly head.
This is the time to truly walk in the boldness, confidence, power and authority God has graced you with and put to paper (in a detailed and defined way) your process that solves your unique person’s problem.
There are two reasons I usually see clients experiencing the spirit of procrastination and the spirit of paralysis during this time.
#1. Is because they allow ALL information and ALL things they’ve every experienced to cloud their judgement and it prolongs the process and clouds the idea of one (1) through process to solve one (1) problem… AKA spirit of paralysis or analysis-paralysis.
And, #2. Is because they get so wrapped up in wanting things to look perfect that they either 1) never even complete the process of writing down their unique process, or 2) they spend so much time trying to beautify (literally) their workbooks/website/etc. that they never release it because “its not ready yet” or “its not perfect yet”, or one of my personal favorites, “God told me not to release it yet”.
Don’t get me wrong, God DEFINITELY will tell you if something is to be or not to be released. However, for more than 70% of the little over 100 clients I’ve worked with, this has not been the case for them.
They’ve really just unknowingly fell victim to the spirit of paralysis and are actively ignoring God’s instructions to move. We can go more into this topic, but I think it’d be better suited for the podcast.
So this is the time to put your thought process on paper (how will your client go from point A to point B, not point C, D or E and no detours between points A & B).
Here are some ideas to writing out your process:
You can create beautifully designed workbooks/worksheets/ebooks, etc. in Canva for free.
You can also use simple done-for-you templates to create your workbooks/worksheets/ebooks, etc'. in Canva for free.
You can just type things out simply in Google Docs®. There are plenty of templates available fo you to use on the platform or you can start on a blank sheet and just let your creative juices flow.
There are SO many other options and platforms for you to use. Theses are just my favorites.
𝐁𝐨𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐓𝐢𝐩 #7: Share about your offer's topic, story, and solution even 𝐛𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐞 you finish the offer. Share your experiences and story. This starts the process of two things:
𝟷. 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘰𝘭𝘶𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯.
𝟸. 𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘪𝘱 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘶𝘯𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘢𝘶𝘥𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦. 𝘐𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘴𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘦𝘹𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘧𝘶𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮.
And that's it! Take these tips and get started.
Stop waiting & start doing.
