Reset + Restore

Welcome to 2022, Servant Leader!

What better way to begin the new year than to do it pursuing God and His will?

Thanks to rest and restoration, I feel at my best for this year, my family, this ministry and my business. I also sense that God and I are on the same page. However . . .

This wasn’t always the case for me going into each new year. I always celebrated in a way that either didn't honor God or I dishonored the season by barely giving it any thought. I was doing myself a disservice.

November 2021, we declared was a month of expectancy.

December 2021, we declared was a month of release.

Yet, for some reason, many of us continued to experience stagnation, lack of focus and lack of faith.

In our first podcast episode of 2022, I discuss the importance of rest and restoration.

Let’s define reset:

to set again; anew

Let’s define anew:

in a new or different and typically more positive way; starting fresh

Let’s define restore:

to bring back; reinstate; return to a former condition, place or position; repair or renovate

For many of us, 2020 AND 2021 took.. and took.. and took from us.

Don’t find rest and settle in what was taken from you.

Make the choice today that,

This IS Your Year Of Restoration.

I’ve listed the scripture from the episode below:

  • Ezekiel 36:11 - I will increase the number of people and animals living on you, and they will be fruitful and become numerous. I will settle people on you as in the pastand will make you prosper more than before. Then you will know that I am the Lord.

  • John 10:10 - The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.

  • Job 42:12 - The Lord blessed the latter part of Job's life more than the first. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, a thousand yoke of oxen and a thousand donkeys.

  • Zechariah 9:12 - Return to your fortress, O prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.

  • Psalm 71:20-21 - Though you have made me see troubles, many and bitter, you will restore my life again; from the depths of the earth you will again bring me up. You will increase my honor and comfort me once again.

Did you figure out the reoccurring theme with these scriptures when it comes to resetting and restoring / restoration?

Think about it.

Think some more.

No cheating.

Think you got it now?

Are you sure?

Okay here’s the answer:

⬇⬇⬇

  1. One must have an abundance of believe in the promises of God.

  2. Anytime restoration is mentioned in the Bible, it is mentioned and completed in abundance - many times more than twice over.

  3. God's promise to us is that not only will he restore the plants, he will restore the seeds.***
